Physical Education is important every week, but Term 4, Week 5 is the week to celebrate it - save the date for 2024!

Physical Education Week promotes and highlights the importance of Health & PE in the Australian Curriculum to the learning and development of children and young people. All students have a right to receive quality physical education teaching and learning programs. In 2023, 163 schools and 55,760 students registered their involvement in PE Week.

Registrations for 2024 will open in Term 3, 2024 - registering your School's participation is FREE and you will receive the free ACHPER SA PE Week Activities Booklet (valued at $49.95) as a thanks for registration.

In 2024, we are celebrating 40 years of Physical Education Week.

Own School Activities

Run some activities in your class or with the whole school! Start a lunch time teacher vs student competition, increase active brain breaks during the day, focus on wellbeing in the classroom... the opportunities are endless! Theme Days will also be developed to assist with your in-School activities - see number 2 for more information.

Our FREE PE Week Resource Booklet will give you a number of ideas, posters and activities to download and implement. This resource E-Booklet is free for every teacher who registers their participation in PE Week via using the button below. There is no cost to register your school.

Theme Days

Our theme days make it easy for you to celebrate Physical Education Week. Each theme day has easy to implement activities, and you can access them for free by registering your School's involvement for Physical Education Week. 2024 theme days to be announced. The 2023 theme days were:

Physical Education Week Dinner & Awards Night

Term 4, Week 4: Friday 8th November at Adelaide Pavilion 

Come and celebrate the 40th year of PE Week with us! ACHPER SA invites you to a night of networking, food, drinks and good company to celebrate the 2024 Physical Education Week. A night to celebrate active and healthy living with a 3 course meal and drinks package. 

A great way to network; come by yourself, with a colleague/partner or why not book a table and come with your faculty to celebrate all your hard work!
