Read the nomination citation below:
A quiet achiever, effective organiser and a very strong advocate for ACHPER. You have provided willing and unconditional support to ACHPER as a member and as a Board member, Vice President and President over many years. Within your profession, you have demonstrated the characteristics of a true professional by supporting your colleagues and campaigning for high standards of professional preparation. You are hard working in your endeavors to promote quality physical and health education for all children, particularly in your training of upcoming teachers. A genuine sign of respect is that fact that the usual babble of Physical Education teachers at ACHPER events comes to complete quiet when, in measured and genuine tones and with complete sincerity, you speak.
Your enthusiasm and extensive knowledge has impacted particularly on health education in Western Australia. ACHPER (WA) Branch and members of the teaching profession have benefited greatly from your contribution and you are a very worthy recipient of the ACHPER Fellow Award.
Congratulations on your well deserved award Ross!
