Teaching Primary PE: Tips, tools, and teaching movement skills
The Teaching Movement Skills course was held on the 16th April for metro teachers at Inglewood Primary School.
This practical course provided opportunities to the attendees to participate, practise and use developmentally appropriate games to teach FMS (Fundamental Movement Skills), sport specific skills and game concepts.
Participants came away with increased knowledge of how to plan a quality PE program, and ideas for assessment including curriculum links.
Vicki Delves conducted the course. Vicki has extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of Health and Physical Education and has written many curriculum resources and professional learning courses including FUNdamental Games Strategies and the Department of Education’s FMS Train the Trainer Facilitator course.
A big thank you to Inglewood Primary School for hosting the event.
