Fundamental Movement Skills Course – Albany
Review
The regional Fundamental Movements Skills workshop was held on Monday 9th April 2018 at Yakamia Primary School in Albany.
11 delegates from schools across the south west region attended the workshop. The participants were involved in a range of theoretical and practical activities where they learnt how to assess student proficiency in a variety of fundamental movement skills.
Delegate feedback: “I discovered exactly what the students needed to learn, and how to teach the skills correctly”.
Janeen Thomsett delivered the workshop. Janeen is a Lecturer for the School of Education in the Faculty of Education and Arts at ECU. Her research interests include self-regulation and links to involvement in organised sport, and development of assessment in Fundamental Movement Skills.
Thank you to Yakamia Primary School for hosting the event.
Our next FMS workshop is on the 30th April. Find out more…
