The Australian Curriculum sets consistent national standards to improve learning outcomes for all young Australians. ACHPER has been closely involved with ACARA and contributed significant feedback from the States/Territories and National to inform the discussions on the HPE Curriculum. The ACARA website has a range of resources available including work sample portfolios for HPE that demonstrates student learning in relation to the achievement standard.
The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) in Western Australia is responsible for Kindergarten to Year 12 Curriculum, as set out in the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline.

Professional Teaching Standards, registration and accreditation
The Australian Insitute of Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) provide details of the abilities, experience, knowledge or skills expected of registered teachers, and excellence standards in the profession of teaching and school leadership.
The Teacher Registration Board WA (TRBWA) is responsible for the registration of teachers in Western Australia and registers all teachers, from early childhood to Year 12, who teach in a Western Australian educational venue. The TRBWA is also responsible for the accreditation of initial teacher education programmes in WA.
