ACHPER WA presents the launch of the HPE Teacher Mentor Program, 2024

Are you a graduate teacher? Do you have an early career teacher in your HPE Department?

Did you know that as many as 20% of teachers leave the profession within the first three years of teaching. Literature indicates that lack of induction and mentoring are seen to be linked to retention of teachers.

ACHPERWA is proud to presenting the release of the ACHPERWA HPE Teacher Mentor Program, 2024

ACHPERWA provides early career teachers with an opportunity to work with a mentor with extensive experience in the teaching profession in order to overcome some of the challenges faced by teachers new to the classroom and assist with establishing their career.

The program is open to first and second year teachers and will commence at the beginning of Term 2, 2024 and will conclude at the end of 2025.
Participants will be selected via an application process.
There will be a separate group for primary and secondary teachers.
